Participate in Forums to Drive Traffic to Your Website

Forums offer a unique way to directly reach readers who are interested in your topic. Participating in forums is one way to drive traffic to your website without spending a lot of time or money.

The Purpose of the Forum

The forum is a community made up of like-minded people. A forum can be based on a common interest, a lifestyle choice, a health concern, etc. You can find forums for people interested in weight loss support, stay-at-home dads and supporting our troops, just to name a few.

A forum is a website (or a portion of a larger website) that is broken down into sub topic links. Members of the forum community are encouraged to post in reply to the comments left by others on the given topic.

The idea behind a forum is for people to form a connection and support one another on one issue or several related issues. It’s a place for people to ask questions, share their experiences and learn more about the topic.

How I Use Forms to Drive Traffic to My Website:

I join every forum in my niche.
I provide useful replies.
I become an active and supportive member in each forum.
I create a signature file in each forum that contains a link to my website, along with my name.
I introduce myself, answer questions and communicate in the forum.
I present myself as an expert on the topic of the forum.
I pique people’s interests in my posts so they want to find out more and click on my link.
I post a link to my website in forums I participate in, even if they are not in my specific niche.

Tips for Getting People to Read beyond Your Posts:

Don’t give a sales pitch in your posts.
Let the link in your signature speak for itself.
Present yourself as an expert in the niche.
Give advice when appropriate.
Start conversation topics related to your website.
Provide useful information about the given topic for community members.
Don’t spam the forums.
Visit the same forum daily and make regular posts.

How Participating in Forums Drives Traffic to Your Website

The key to bringing traffic to your website is to regularly participate in forums. Placing a hit or miss post on one or more Web site forums without returning to cultivate friendships and gain the trust of the community members will not drive traffic to your website. You must return to the same sites over and over, on a regular basis, in order to achieve results. The trick is to participate in the forums without spelling it out for other community members that it is a way for you to attract customers.

Gain the trust of community members by participating in forums where you can answer questions and add value to the conversations. Simply agreeing with other posters isn’t going to do the trick. You’ll need to provide information to back up your statements and prove that you know what you’re talking about.

I have found great success in driving traffic to my website by carefully using forums as a way to attract people with the same interests.

Are Internet Leads an Effective Way to Build Your Real Estate Business

Internet marketing has become an integral part of the real estate industry, but are the leads an effective way to build an agent’s business? When generating sales from the internet, an agent must create traffic, capture prospect and cultivate leads into clients. When generating sales from traditional marketing, an agent must generate traffic, capture prospects and cultivate leads into clients. Sounds the same, right?

The difference is perception, internet advertising is new. It doesn’t have a track record like traditional forms of agent advertising. Many agents are apprehensive about utilizing precious funds on the web. In contrast, studies show that the majority of buyers are using the internet to research their home purchases. As you can see, there seems to be a conflict within, while the internet is new with little history, buyers are actively researching purchases via the web.

It’s time to change. If buyers are actively searching the web, then real estate agents need to start allocating advertising dollars for the internet. Let’s discuss three choices agents have to reach buyers and sellers with their website: pay per click programs, directories and lead generators.

Pay per click programs – each of the big three search engines, Google, Yahoo & MSN, have pay per click programs that allow advertisers to bid on keywords, then the advertiser is listed in the search engine’s sponsored directory. This is a great way to generate immediate traffic, but it comes with a cost as you are paying for each click. Be sure to utilize words that will generate qualified traffic.

Directories – there are local, national and global directories that categorize websites, then list them within the directory. These directories are similar to the old phone book. Most are for a fee, and it is difficult to forecast and measure the traffic generated by the directory.

Lead generators – lead generators are websites that act as portals for the agent. These sites generate the traffic and capture the leads. Then, the lead is provided to the agent for cultivation. These leads can be expensive, therefore ensure that they are exclusive. Also, find out if the lead generator provides a database for managing the leads and a follow-up campaign for cultivation. Lead generators can be an excellent accent to an agent’s business because it allows the agent to spend more time on cultivation with less time on creating and capturing traffic.

Regardless of how an agent chooses to target traffic on the internet, it has become a necessary evil as the internet has become the media of choice for most buyers. Don’t fall behind and remember to follow the three C’s: create, capture and cultivate.

SEO Content and HTML Meta Tags

The first technique of an effective search engine optimization (SEO) is that you should optimize all your pages before you make a search engine submission. A small important part of economical search engine optimization is keyword placement in html meta tags and on your web pages.

You need to find out the right keywords to optimize your website by using some special internet marketing software/tools. Good search engine placement, search engine ranking etc. is easier if you choose high-demand, low-supply keywords (for example free internet marketing software) and to create pages optimized for these keywords. You must take care that the chosen keywords are relevant to your website and optimize these for alternative yet similar versions. It is very important that you have in your web content marketing a high-value, relevant content, this keeps your online business moving.

Here are some rules for your web content publishing in terms of your online marketing, search engines (like Google and Yahoo) work using the following two rules. Their ultimate goal is simply to recognize relevance and quality. You can build traffic (visitors) by working with the search engines, and your business will improve.

1) Keep it real.

2) Provide what people want. (relevance and quality)

Do not forget to put your keywords in the title tag, meta description and keywords tag. Furthermore use H header tags. Some search engines use meta tags and some ignore html meta tags completely, preferring only to rely on page content, also remember that the search engines constantly change their ranking rules (algorithms). The meta description tag is still widely used and is definitely worth your time it is a good traffic generator. This tag is designed to let you include a written description of your website and is often used by search engines as the brief description that appears in search results pages.

Study these basic (SEO) search engine optimization guidelines and learn that many of the search engines behave differently when it comes to choosing the best pages they are constantly refining their algorithms that evaluate on-page and countless off-page criteria. One of these criteria is that a website which updates its content will be preferred. You should remember these simple rules while you are building your web pages refresh your content continuously and understand that these are only basic guidelines. However, they should help you for a better search engine rank in the search engines, over time.

I have worked together with some big online companies and have learned a lot about Internet Marketing and online business. Now I will tell you on my web site at http://www.internet-marketing-net.com the best way you can create a online business with less money and time.

How Traffic Building Helps your Profits

Anybody who has been involved in internet marketing for any length of time understands how traffic building helps your profits. It is absolutely essential to build up a good flow of traffic to your site if you are to make anything worthwhile from your online business. The problem is how to do it, and that is a topic on which countless ebooks have been written. There are also people in the know that are able to find the information needed to make this task easy without breaking sweat.

There are some basic ways of driving traffic to your website and if you master these, you should have few problems in finding customers. First and foremost, there is search engine optimization. SEO is at the head of the list because if done properly you can get free adverts on the first page of the search results for your keywords on the major search engines. Search engine traffic is targeted traffic, and search engine marketing is big business.

One of the secrets of the use of search engine optimization in traffic building is to keep it simple. Simple and well designed websites win every time over the complex fancy creations with flash graphics and moving images everywhere. Search engines are not concerned with these: they want good original content that will satisfy the needs of their customers using their search engine to find information. If you do that then the look of your site is irrelevant. Google does not read graphics!

Keeping it simple, keeping the pages full of useful content, and avoiding repetition will help you achieve your goal. So too will changing content, and preventing your web pages from becoming stale with old content. This is where RSS can help, through presenting ever-changing up to date information on your topic. Blogs can achieve the same thing.

In fact, blogs can achieve many things other than attract search engines. Remember that your prime objective is to get traffic, not optimize your site. The SEO is a means to attaining the objective, not the objective itself. Blogging can build traffic themselves, without the need of website optimization. They provide fresh content and are usually right on topic, so they are usually a very popular means of two way communication between you and your potential customer. Do not underestimate the power of blogs, and every internet marketer should have at least one blog for every niche in which they are involved. A business blog can achieve just as much as a personal blog.

Website traffic can also be generated through direct advertising. SEO and blogs are attractive means of traffic building, but adverts can also be persuasive in securing that all-important click to the web page of your choice. An advert can be page-specific whereas blogs attract others to the blog page, and SEO generally works best on the home page. If you want visitors to another page you have two major ways of achieving that, and advertising is one. You can usually secure an advert on a relevant ezine for a fairly small advertising fee that will be calculated from the number of recipients on the ezine circulation list.

The second way is by means of article marketing. You can write an article on any topic contained on your website and then provide a link in your authors resource box. That link should lead the reader to a page within your site that relates to the article they have just read. If they click then they obviously want more information on the topic, so provide them with it. In fact, you can choose the page you want visitors to land on, and then write an article based on the contents of that page. Where live links are allowed, use anchor text that is the same as the keyword of your page. This may not always be possible, but it is very powerful when you can do it.

Did you take note when I wrote above about SEO usually working best on the home page? That is a fact, and the vast majority of prominently listed pages on search engines are home pages. If you could arrange it so that every page on your website was a home page, how neat and powerful would that be? I know you think it is impossible, but in fact it is not. There is a type of website called a portal site where one site contains links to lots of other websites on the same subject. Thus, a Caribbean vacation site, containing links to dozens of other websites, each specializing in a different Caribbean island.

Well, this idea can be extended so that one website is a portal site for lots of others dealing with a different aspect of your niche. Rather than having one website with lots of pages linked from the home page, have one website with lots of websites linked from the home page. Your web pages would then be the home pages of other sites, and so have a much higher probability of being listed high in the indices.

This would take a lot of work to achieve manually, but if you could do it, you would have an advantage over everybody else not using the technique. In fact, there is software available online to help you to achieve this very easily and quickly and to help you generate the content for all the websites with which the software will provide you.

It is there for you to find, if you look hard enough, but there are those who know where to find it and when it will become available. These are the people in the know that were alluded to in the first paragraph; masters of traffic building and of website generation.
