How To Run Your Own Successful Giveaway Event

Giveaway Marketing is a relatively new type of online marketing, and has taken off over the last five years as the most immediate way to get a solid subscriber base in as little as 7 days.

Giveaway Marketing started in the early years of 2000 as a legitimate form of building a large subscriber base through powerful joint ventures – where marketers team up with each other to promote the Giveaway event.

It is powerful due to the sheer nature of what is on offer at the Giveaway site. Typically the large Giveaway events attract hundreds of JV Partners, who in turn invite thousands of subscribers to download free reports, ebooks, videos, MP3’s and the like.

The affect of the Giveaway on the internet community is massive. Some Giveaways have their domains climbing into the Top 1,000 ranked websites across the internet for the duration of their event. As a result they have more than 100,000 unique visitors attending the site during the campaign.

People can access all the free information that is available by signing up to receive the packages or products that are on offer within the site.

In addition to the free products on offer within the site, there are other opportunities to learn more and take home special products on sale from the Giveaway. These are usually related to the Giveaway community that the event is focussed on.

Through the sales of the products within the Giveaway site it is possible to earn commissions from the event. Members of the site can invite other people, and if they make a purchase of the special one time offers available upon signup they can save a fortune on products that usually cost a lot more.

A Giveaway event is a huge win-win-win with tons of benefits for all people involved.

First, people who enter the site can access untold thousands of dollars of information – for free.
Second, the contributors of the free products will build their list of subscribers through the event, as well as cash in on commissions from the site offers.

And third, the site co-ordinator will be able to pocket both the residual sales as well as the subscribers that enter through the front door of the site.

If you’re looking at building subscriber lists of 2,000 or 10,000 or even 100,000 subscribers in as little as 7 days, then perhaps a Giveaway event is what you need !

Information Product Creation – Writing the Ebook of Your Dreams Can Become A Reality

This article has two purposes, all designed to help you write the ebook of your dreams.

First, we’re going to focus on ways to get your reader involved in your book. The more ways you can get your reader to feel like you are speaking directly to him, the more special and connected he will feel. That translates, for you, into A READER FOR LIFE.

The second purpose is dedicated to helping you find good resources for information that you might need in a hurry to expand a point, finish a thought or illustrate a concept.

You never know when you will come up blank when you are scooting along, typing as fast as you can, so full of ideas that you cannot get them down fast enough. You hit the enter key to start a new paragraph and, bang, you don’t know what to say next. It happens to every writer sooner or later…I hate it when it happens to me.

Let’s do it!

There’s several ways to bring your reader into your ebook as they read along. In order to increase their feeling of belonging or being part of your circle of friends, you have to give them a reason to believe what you are saying to them.

The first way to do that is to write like you are talking to your best friend or your mother. Keep your tone warm and friendly, even if you are writing about something that’s not very pleasant. Your reader will definitely respond if you can make him feel like you are sitting down with him and sharing coffee and cookies. How do you do this?

Use simple words and short sentences. Refer directly to your reader by using personal terms, like “you” and “we and “our” when you are discussing some problem or activity you both share. Those three words bridge the gap between you and your reader. If you look over the lessons, including this one, you will see that I do it all the time.

Another way is to give your reader a reason to believe you. When you make a statement that is startling, controversial or not well known, provide proof of the accuracy of your statement. Below, you will find links to several deep pools of facts that you can use to back up your statements. I included the search term I used to find these resources.

If your customers even suspect that you are not telling the truth, they will drop you like a hot potato. You will be able to tell that this is happening by the many requests for an immediate refund. It will be a no-brainer.

This entire scenario can be avoided if you back your information up with facts they can check themselves. Provide the link to the site you used to find the fact.

Now, your reader feels like your friend and believes what you, say, which is building your credibility. Think about it. If you sold 25 ebooks and you used these techniques, you would have 50-75 customers willing to buy other products from you. Happy customers tell their family and friends.

One technique that works pretty well is to answer objections up front…before they even form in your reader’s mind. You’re the one writing the material; you’ll know what might bring up a credibility killing objection.

If you’ve researched your topic, like you’ve read more than once in these lessons, you will already know what your reader might object to. Determine the most common objections to your premise or statement and answer them before your reader thinks of them, and they will.

An easy way to do this involves asking questions. This simple technique has two purposes. It will draw your reader into your ebook and keep him there, while preventing him from latching onto objections. Make your questions personal, like you are standing next to your reader and asking him.

Here’s some examples of questions that will make your reader stop and think about what you just asked him:

1…”Did you ever see an 8-foot tomato plant that produced two-color fruit?”

2…”What do you think your teenager does when you are in the shower?”

3…”Are your neighbors really who you think they are?”

4…”Do you have bedbugs?”

See what I mean? Number 4 gave me the creeps and I wrote it.

If you are trying to head off possible objections before your reader thinks of them, use questions like these:

1…”Do you think that’s impossible?” Let me explain.

2…”Have you ever seen this? Well, let me tell you ____.

3…Do you believe _______?” I do, here’s why.

4…”Does that sound like a fantasy?” Here’s why it’s true.

I’m sure you can see the actual benefit of using these techniques and how they will improve your own methods of presenting information to your readers. Try it! You’ll like it! So will your readers.

Let’s move on to a priceless store of peripheral information that, if used sparingly and when it is needed, will make your ebook shine and your writing process easier.

Sooner or later, you will need a quick resource for new ideas or to get your ebook out of a hole you just dug for it with your very own fingers.

QUOTES: (search term: quotes or quotations)

(FYI: Quotes can generate hundreds of ideas for new ebooks, besides help break a roadblock in your creative processes or add interest to your page.)

ARTICLE DIRECTORIES: (search term: “article directories” with quotes)

Article directories are stocked full with resources to start your brain waves cooking or to improve the way you think about a subject.

Remember that ideas cannot be copyrighted. If you read an article and it gives you an idea, run with it.

Your arsenal of tools and ideas is full of real sources to check and actions to apply on your way to finishing your ebook. Your success is just around the corner. I can feel it. Can you?

Common Internet Scams – Work From Home Jobs

Let’s face it, most people, at certain stages of their lives, have trawled the Situations Vacant columns either genuinely looking to improve their lot or just to see what else is out there.

Here lies the danger. If you’ve just spent the last two hours stuck on a so called ‘freeway’ or compressed like a sardine on public transport…then you’re in the perfect state of mind to be scammed!

Scamming sharks know full well that tired and irritated people are prime fillet steak for their sweet, juicy advertisements. They know that you’d give away your eye teeth and your wife and kids not to commute…ever again!

They are well tuned in to the anger, frustration and bitterness that builds up in people daily spending two hours on what should be a half hour journey.

They know the pain you have to endure twice daily, five days every week, eleven months of every year.

Scammer’s know this pain very well and this is why they know you’re vulnerable to what advertisers call ‘keywords.’

They also know that by using certain key words and phrases they can tap into your misery and profit greatly from it.

Arguably, the most potent and powerful of these keywords is probably that lovely little word ‘free’ but a phrase that’s well up there in scam heaven is quite short but so sweet in it’s emotive connotations…”Work From Home.”

Every frustrated commuter in every traffic jam in the world would just love to get away from their twice daily torture. Just think, that’s millions of suffering souls that are ripe potential victims for a crafty advert assuring them of $500 a day – wearing their pajamas!

Nowadays it’s almost impossible to open any newspaper, anywhere in the civilized world and not find an advert extolling the virtues of working from the comfort of your own hearth and home.

These slimy sharks prey on your daydreams of telling your boss his fortune and earning a pile of cash for twenty minutes work a day. It’s absolute garbage!

Almost all of these so called Internet Marketing ‘jobs’ turn out to be nothing more than typing and placing adverts for their own company or other scam sites. In effect, what you’ve done by paying them your ‘enrollment fee’ is paid them to perpetuate their little scam.

Nice work if you can get it!

If you do a Google search for Internet Scams these work from home jobs are right up there with the worst of them – and there’s a very good reason.

The reason is that a lot of people are making a lot of money from a very human desire to escape the daily grind and work for themselves. They’re not lazy, or greedy, they just want to rid themselves of the tedium of the daily commute. The scammers know this.

The good news is that it is possible to get away from all that daily grief and earn a very respectable living from Internet Marketing, if you take the right advise and take the time to learn from the right sources.

The Internet is mind blowing in it’s immensity. Somebody once said that only Einstein could comprehend infinity and, to my way of thinking, the Internet must be something akin to that.

This wonderful tool can offer all of us endless ways of making money and enjoying a better lifestyle.

But opportunities come at a price and to make a living at home this price is taking the trouble to learn just what you are getting involved with.

If you think that by paying somebody $50 you are going to be earning five hundred bucks a day for simply typing advertisements you have a very rude awakening coming.

It’s true that whilst the Internet really is a level playing field and everyone has the chance to make the most of what’s on offer – some will always be more successful than others, just as in any other form of new endeavor.

You will succeed working at home, if you really want to, but you have to realize that you’re going to have to get a new education. It’s not difficult, just different, that’s all.

Just remember, you’re much better off spending your fifty bucks on learning the basics of Internet Marketing and the way the Internet really works than spending hundreds on these ‘Data Entry’ scams.

There is an exceptional eBook / DVD called Back Porch Income that shows you how to work from home successfully. It covers everything you need to know to get focused and on track for success. Just follow this link…

Think Like an eBay PowerSeller, Profit Like A Powerseller

A PowerSeller is a seller on eBay who has achieved sucess. Recognisable by the little ‘PowerSeller’ badge next to their name, these sellers are at the top of the eBay tree, and make the most sales, turnover and profits. To succeed on eBay, you’ll need to think the way they do.

eBay determines who is awarded PowerSeller status and who isn’t, and have strict requirements. To get in at the minimum PowerSeller level, you must have a feedback rating of at least 100 (minimum 98% positive) and sell at least $1,000 worth of items every month for three months in a row. There are different levels of PowerSeller membership as you sell items of greater value: $1,000 total is bronze, $3,000 is silver, $10,000 is gold, $25,000 is platinum and $125,000 is titanium.

If PowerSellers fail to meet the required amount of sales with, or their feedback falls below 98% positive within a 3 month period, they lose their PowerSeller status. In short, the only people who get to be PowerSellers on eBay are the people who have been successful for a good while, and are on track to stay that way.

This is the most important part of understanding how PowerSellers think. They don’t see what they’re doing as being some hobby – instead, they see themselves as a business or trader.

Let me explain, if you run a stall in a marketplace, the chances are that you have a general area of business, but you mostly just sell whatever you can get your hands on that week but it’s no way to run a real business in the long-term.

PowerSellers think far more like shops. They sell the same things again and again, every week – regular stock for regular customers. They do ‘boring’ business things like keep inventories and budgets. They know what they’re going to be selling, how much they buy it for and how much they expect to sell for. Just like a real shop, there can be hard times sometimes, but their income is stable and their business can grow slowly.

The best advice I can give you on thinking like a PowerSeller is this: don’t take long-term risks for short-term gain. Look after your reputation, manage your selling properly, provide good customer service and the rewards will come to you in due course. And you’ll get a little badge next to your name that makes people trust you more!

One possibility that you might have realised so far is what eBay can do for any other businesses you might have. Remember, millions of people visit eBay every day – why keep everything separate when you’re starting to tap into that kind of power?

However great eBay may be, in order to be a truly profitable Powerseller, you will need your own product to sell in time. Thinking like a Powerseller is NOT enough as you make your way down the road to eBay selling success, but at least by this time, your business growth and reputation will be large enough to allow you to comfortably work on other areas of your business – whilst it “runs itself”.
